  Did you swear when you were a JW?

  i have noticed that quite a few people here swear and use profanity.

  an elder once told me this is quite common in the congregations he has been in.

  i was raised in so never allowed to swear and never got into the habit.

  As a JW, Did You Pray & Study With Your Spouse?

  when you were a jw, did you pray regularly with your spouse?

  what about a "family study"?.

  i was a pioneer and ministerial servant, but praying with somebody was always the most awkward, uncomfortable thing ever.

  The last time that we had j-dub family over, around last christmas i think, inevitably a prayer was said before dinner. Throughout the prayer i kept my eyes open & ate my food. Then, when the prayer was finished i said: "Thanks for the food mum, it was you who cooked it afterall."

  It's crazy when you think about it. Someone spends possibly hours cooking a dinner, only to be ignored whilst God to be thanked for it once it's ready. It makes me feel a bit sick thinking about it actually.

  Circ. Ass. Last Weekend...oh boy!

  so i had to suffer through the ca last weekend, it was rough at 1st, i was actually sick to my stomach the night before, fortunately my little boy kept me occupied during the session and i got to walk around a lot.. the do cracked down on 'true christians' watching vampire movies aka....twilight.

  i know this series is hugely popular with a lot of teens and 20somthings, even a young elder and his wife (mostly the wife) are really into them.. he said true christians just don't watch such things.

  if one looks closely at the following two scriptures, they will see that paul is here telling us, that it is jesus who is appointed over god's house.

  if you look even closer you will also see that paul is also telling us, that as a body, all the heavenly calling together constitute the house itself.

  What Stupid Things Were You Counseled For?

  i've always been told that i have a very good personality, that i'm humorous, etc.. one elder called me over and said that i was "smiling too much".

  the other elders talked to the elder who counseled me and he came back to say that i should be like i was .

  so why do atheist seem it necessary to argue, fight and debate believers.

  what is to be gained, a new nonbeliever...i have never understood it.
